Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management:

Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, payables & receivables management and financial reporting

Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with Indian and international accounting standards and regulations.

Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial health of the organization, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management
  1. International Banking:

Manage relationships with international banking partners and financial institutions.

Execute and oversee international banking transactions, including wire transfers, currency conversions, LC/BL discounting.

Stay updated on global banking trends, regulations, and best practices to optimize international banking operations.
  1. Financial Reporting:

Prepare and analyse weekly, monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards

Provide accurate and timely financial reports and analysis to senior management and stakeholders

Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements in all jurisdictions where the company operates
  1. Budgeting and Forecasting:

Lead the annual budgeting process and provide financial forecasts and projections.

Monitor budget performance and variance analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities

Work closely with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets and forecasts
  1. Risk Management:

Actively partner with business team to identify and assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate exposure including freight and credit insurance etc

Monitor compliance with internal controls and recommend improvements to minimize risk

Stay abreast of geopolitical and economic developments that may impact the organization's financial stability

Qualifications:

Chartered Accountant

Proven experience as a similar mid-senior roles, with at least 7 years of experience in international trade.

Strong understanding of international accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Accounting ERPs.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
