We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

In this role, you will:

  • Use system and business knowledge to provide an efficient and comprehensive level of support to the delivery teams. You should ensure that the business requirements are correctly captured and understood by the delivery teams to enable them to deliver the system solution with a high degree of quality.
  • Demonstrate your analytical capabilities, problem solving skills, learning abilities, team skills and ability to work independently. Should be familiar with business analysis practice in line with BABOK guidelines.
  • Jointly work with business BAs in turning product vision into requirement
  • Understanding customer journey
  • Defining epics
  • Mapping customer journey
  • Writing user storie
  • Defining Acceptance Criteria for customer facing elements
  • Create user stories for functional requirements that are non-customer facing or are backend driven such as - interest processing, data exchange, account creation etc
  • Assist Tech lead with
  • End to end functional flow
  • Data Model
  • Interface specifications
  • Host refinement sessions to bring stories to DoR done.
  • Ensuring that a healthy number of stories remain in the DoR bucket and healthy product backlog is maintained.
  • Reviewing what has been developed to ensure they are in line with expectations
  • Assisting developers with queries on user stories and solution (functional)
  • Analyse functional defects, bring them up in the prioritisation sessions with the POs
  • Review test plan with the testers for CIT,SIT.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • At least 4-5 years of relevant IT experience, including exposure to business analysis, systems analysis, functional testing.
  • Ability to prioritize work to successfully deliver service to agreed levels in a diverse and constantly changing environment
  • Effectively co-ordinate delivery of services involving elements delivered by other internal/external teams
  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience in communicating with senior executives
  • Strong process implementation skills
  • Demonstrated success in key stakeholder management
  • Experience of using IT systems and reporting tools
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Ability to work as part of a Global virtual team across multiple regions.
  • Capability to function also as System Analyst
  • Providing consultation / inputs to business
  • Ensure that the functional information is appropriately conveyed to the technical teams and testing team as per project needs through training to development and testing teams.
  • Assisting testing team with scope definition, test strategy and test scenario.
  • Prior experience in Agile methodology is a must.
  • Awareness of story slicing and experience in story point estimation technique
  • Experience in using JIRA and Visio is must.
  • Experience in BDD is preferred (Behavior Driven Development).
  • Knowledge of Banking Payment Systems and/or Banking Domain is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Incident / Problem / Change and Release Management procedures is desirable.
