Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Vice President of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) to lead and grow our MICE division. The AVP will be responsible for developing strategic initiatives, managing client relationships, and overseeing the successful execution of MICE events.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the MICE sector, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the MICE division that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and industry partners to secure MICE contracts and repeat business.
Event Oversight: Oversee the planning and execution of meetings, conferences, and incentive programs, ensuring high-quality experiences for attendees.Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of MICE professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Budget and Resource Management: Manage budgets for MICE projects, ensuring profitability while delivering exceptional client service.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights in the MICE sector, adjusting strategies as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of MICE services into the company's offerings.
Performance Evaluation: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of MICE initiatives and implement improvements based on data-driven insights.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in the MICE sector, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and executing MICE events and programs.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and trends in the travel and MICE industry.
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing vendor contracts.
