About The Role
The Markets Data team have a broad mandate for reducing operational friction and contributing to the growth objectives by leveraging emerging technologies within ANZ Markets. The team is focused on delivering and managing strategic end-to-end cloud-based data and analytics solutions, including application design, cloud data storage, BI reporting, and advanced technologies such as AI.
As a Senior Data Solutions Analyst, you'll manage stakeholders effectively, communicate excellently, and oversee development workflows to ensure timely delivery of technical solutions.
You'll build and maintain Python frameworks for interactive data apps, design and create insightful Tableau dashboards, and spearhead advanced analytics and AI initiatives to enhance data analysis capabilities. Join us to transform data into actionable insights and strategic decisions.

What will your day look like
The Senior Data Solutions Analyst will be reporting to the Associate Director Markets Data Governance & Strategy and primary responsibilities include:
- Manage stakeholders effectively, communicate excellently, and proactively drive business solutions. Oversee development workflows ensuring the timely and effective delivery of technical solutions that meet business needs.
- Build and maintain Python frameworks to deliver interactive data apps to facilitate data capture and processing, supporting various business functions.
- Lead the design and creation of interactive reports and dashboards in Tableau, delivering actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making.
- Lead the adoption of advanced analytics and AI initiatives, integrating AI and generative AI to enhance data analysis capabilities and support strategic decisions.
- Plan and oversee development workflows, ensuring alignment and managing interdependencies across teams.
- Improve the collective knowledge of the leadership team to support better decision-making through data insights.
- Develop clear, practical guidelines to streamline processes, ensuring minimal complexity and maximum efficiency in line with applicable policies and standards.
- Write and maintain Python code to build interactive data applications, leveraging AWS services for data processing, storage, and deployment of data solutions.
What will you bring
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Proficiency in Python and an understanding of AWS Cloud DevOps and Design.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and project management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact with Business as well as Technology Stakeholders in the organisation
- Strong analytical, numerical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven business analysis experience and strong direct experience with Data analysis, Business analysis and solution design / implementation. Experience on major projects is desired.
- A Banking background and ideally operated in a Markets / IB environment.
- Can appreciate difficult problems and is a self-starter to work autonomously on tasks with a medium to high complexity.
