Job Description

The ideal candidate will be an expert in designing scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments and will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to implement best practices for cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Architecture Design: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-availability, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on Azure.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Architect and implement Azure cloud environments using Terraform and Azure Bicep to define infrastructure, ensuring automation and scalability through CI/CD pipelines.
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS): Design, deploy, and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) with advanced networking and hybrid connectivity features, including ExpressRoute, VNET Peering, and Private Link.
• Application Lifecycle Management: Develop and manage Helm Charts for efficient deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of Kubernetes applications in the cloud.
• Networking & Security Architecture: Design and implement advanced Azure networking solutions, including Application Gateway, WAF, ExpressRoute, and secure hybrid connections to on-premise infrastructure.
• Multi-Cloud Integration: Design and implement multi-cloud strategies that integrate AWS services with Azure for a robust and flexible cloud infrastructure.
• CI/CD Automation: Architect and implement automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins to manage infrastructure and application deployments with Terraform.
• Cost Management & Optimization: Develop strategies for optimizing cloud costs, utilizing tools like Azure Cost Management and FinOps to ensure efficient cloud financial governance.
• Security Best Practices: Ensure the application of Zero Trust Architecture, Azure Security Center, and Azure Policy to guarantee the highest security standards.
• Cloud Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Lead the monitoring and optimization of cloud environments, using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and Log Analytics for performance, scalability, and security.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with industry security and operational standards such as CIS, NIST, and ISO 27001 while integrating best practices in cloud governance.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure the architecture meets business requirements and integrates seamlessly with existing systems.

Key Skills Required:

• Azure Cloud Architecture: Expertise in designing and implementing Azure cloud infrastructure, with a focus on high availability, scalability, and security.
• Terraform & Infrastructure Automation: Advanced knowledge of Terraform for Azure and Azure Bicep to define and manage infrastructure in code.
• Kubernetes (AKS): Expertise in designing and managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters with advanced networking and hybrid/cloud connectivity.
• Networking: In-depth understanding of Azure networking features, including VNET Peering, Private Link, ExpressRoute, Application Gateway, and WAF.
• Security: Proven experience designing secure cloud environments with Zero Trust Architecture, Azure Security Center, Azure Key Vault, and other security features.
• CI/CD: Proficiency in implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins, with a focus on infrastructure automation.
• Cloud Cost Management: Experience with Azure Cost Management, cost optimization strategies, and FinOps.
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python to automate tasks and configurations.
• Multi-Cloud Integration: Experience working in multi-cloud environments, integrating services from both Azure and AWS as part of hybrid cloud architectures.
• Cloud Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Familiarity with tools like Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and Log Analytics for monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Cost Optimization (FinOps): Strong knowledge of Azure Cost Management and cloud financial governance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, preferably focused on Azure and Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of containerization, orchestration, and microservices architecture.

Additional Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with Multi-Cloud Environments: Expertise in managing hybrid or multi-cloud environments, particularly Azure and AWS.
• Container Security: Familiarity with container security tools such as Aqua Security, Prisma Cloud.
• GitOps: Experience with GitOps practices and tools like ArgoCD or Flux for continuous deployment.
• Serverless Computing: Knowledge of Azure Functions, Event Grid, Logic Apps, and other serverless computing solutions.
