Job Summary:
Overseas IT Services is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Associate to join our Hyderabad resource center. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and recording financial transactions, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and overall compliance with legal financial requirements.This position requires an understanding of financial transactions, bookkeeping, and accounting best practices. This is an onsite position, located in our Hyderabad, India office.
Essential Functions

- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions by establishing accounts and posting transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements for financial transactions.
- System and Account Management
- Develop and manage a chart of accounts, bookkeeping policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Track and monitor expenses, budgets, taxes, cash flow, receipts, and other company financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting and Reconciliation
- Provide regular financial reports, including weekly, monthly, and yearly summaries.
- Reconcile accounts and accounting system entries to validate transaction accuracy.
- Handle reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy in all records.
- Payroll Processing and Policy Adherence
- Process payroll on time and in line with company policy.
- Follow established communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data entry and financial analysis
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position is full-time and onsite, based at Overseas IT Services headquarters in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Physical Demands- This role requires frequent computer use and standard office work.
The role is primarily sedentary, with a need for clear focus during compliance audits and research
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, salaried position with fixed hours, though availability may occasionally be required for urgent project needs or client communication outside standard hours.
Travel
Minimal travel may be required for training or inter-departmental collaboration.
Required Education and Experience- Effective communication skills with colleagues, clients, and management
- Advanced proficiency in data entry and analysis
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or in a similar accounting/finance role
- Experience in offshore, BPO, or FMCG environments preferred
- Proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Familiarity with terminologies used in invoicing and English language fluency
- Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
- MS Office and Google Sheets certification or basic computer diploma preferred
- ACCA or similar related certification is an advantage
