Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer with a background in steel structure design for residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 7 years of experience in designing and analyzing steel structures, with proficiency in software such as STAAD.Pro and AutoACD. You will work closely with the project team to ensure the design and construction of high-quality, cost-effective, and safe steel structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Steel Structure Design: Design residential and commercial steel structures, ensuring they meet all required specifications, codes, and client needs.
• Structural Analysis: Conduct structural analysis using STAAD.Pro and other related software to ensure the safety, stability, and durability of the structures.
• Technical Drawings: Create detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD, including layouts, structural details, and construction drawings.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs are compliant with local and international building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals to ensure smooth project execution.
• Design Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize designs for cost-effectiveness and efficiency without compromising safety and functionality.
• Review and Modify Designs: Revise designs based on feedback from senior engineers, clients, or other stakeholders.
• Material Specifications: Provide recommendations on materials based on design needs, performance requirements, and cost considerations.
• Site Support: Provide technical support during construction to resolve any design-related issues or modifications required on-site.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design reports, calculations, and correspondence with clients and stakeholders.
• Quality Control: Ensure all design work is of high quality and meets the companys standards for accuracy and compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
• 3 to 7 years of professional experience in steel structure design, preferably in residential and commercial sectors.
• Proficiency in STAAD.Pro for structural analysis and design.
• Strong experience using AutoCAD for drafting and detailing.
• Solid understanding of steel construction techniques, materials, and codes (e.g., AISC, Eurocodes, etc.).
• Ability to analyze and design complex structural systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of design software such as Tekla, ETABS, or Revit is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with residential and commercial projects.
• Knowledge of building information modeling (BIM) is a plus.
• Familiarity with project management tools and software.
• Certification from recognized engineering bodies is an added advantage.
