We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead a team of software engineers in our Hyderabad office. Our ideal candidate is customer focused and enjoys the challenge of highly complex business contexts that are typically being defined in real-time.You will be a passionate builder of talent and teams. As a Manager within Finance Technology you will help set the vision for a new suite of technology that will enable thousands of global Amazonians continue to be Earth's Most Customer Centric Company.

The systems we own are responsible for trillions of financial events that would rank among the largest countries in the world by GDP.You will ensure that engineering best practices are followed and that software is designed to be highly-available, dynamically scalable, and resilient to continuity threats.

Key Responsibilities:- Develop and own product vision, strategy and roadmap.
- Build and manage a team of software engineers.
- Execute projects within an Agile/Scrum environment
- Participate in business reviews with executive leadership and provide status updates.

- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
