We're seeking a Database Administrator with 5-8 years of expertise in SQL Server development and SSIS. Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance
- Perform regular database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
- Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve database-related performance problems
- Implement database updates, patches, and version upgrades
- Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and scripts
- Optimize existing SQL code for performance improvements
- Design and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and constraints
- Collaborate with application developers to integrate database solutions with applications
- Design, develop, and deploy robust ETL workflows using SSIS to extract, transform, and load data
- Optimize SSIS packages for data integration and performance efficiency
- Troubleshoot and debug SSIS workflows and data processing pipelines
- Maintain documentation for SSIS packages, ETL processes, and workflows
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (required). Master's degree (preferred)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, MCSE) are a plus (not required)
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server database administration and development
- Proficient in SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSIS development
- Strong understanding of database architecture, indexing strategies, and query optimization techniques
- Experience with data modeling and schema design
- Familiarity with database security practices and user access controls
- Knowledge of other tools such as PowerShell or any scripting language for automation is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
