Job Title: Executive Manager - Enterprise Supplier Risk

Location: Bangalore

Business & Team:

The Group Corporate Services Risk and Governance owns risk policy and provides advice and management with expertise in both Operational and Supplier Risk domains. The team
  • Manages and advises on operational risk for the GCS business, both Property and Procurement.
  • Owns the Supplier Lifecycle Framework and the Risk Steward Guide for Third Parties - which guides the Group on engaging and managing suppliers.
  • Assesses supplier risk, and tests high risk suppliers controls for the Group, both domestically and internationally.
  • Actively supports the business to manage suppliers during the lifecycle to meet the Groups risk appetite.
  • Implements regulatory requirements such as CPS230
  • Governs Property, Procurement and Risk projects across the GCS business.

Impact & contribution:

The Executive Manager, Supplier Risk and Controls will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of supplier risk and controls within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to mitigate risks associated with suppliers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and enhancing the overall supplier risk management framework.

Reporting lines:

The role position reports into the General Manager - Finance

(Functional Report - General Manager, GCS Risk and Controls)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to execute on the Risk strategy aligned to each business, overseeing implementation and governance initiatives.
  • Proactively detect and anticipate responses to changes in the internal and external risk landscape that may impact business risk profiles.
  • Consult on opportunities to enhance the design and resiliency of supplier processes and compliance, to enable effective business risk management.
  • Lead the delivery of assurance findings, focusing on developing intelligence that protects the organization and customers from risk.
  • Lead the team to proactively identify and assess control weaknesses and gaps.
  • Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders to manage their risk, compliance obligations and business operations within risk appetite.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to prepare responses to issues, near misses, and emerging risks or threats to resilience.
  • Advocate for and advise the business on using appropriate tools, strategies practices and frameworks to enable execution of risk reduction and proactive risk management.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 18 years of experience in risk management, supplier management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to supplier risk management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience in the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of supplier risk management tools and technologies.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
