Looking for pure Cloud RDS, PostgreSQL DBAs, who are deeply hands-on with AWS RDS and PostgreSQL with in-depth knowledge of Clustering, High Availability, Load Balancing, and Replication, Performance Tuning and Database

Representative Job Duties:

• Performing all the activities for AWS Cloud Databases RDS & EC2 Hosted
• Database maintenance activities on both Prod and Non-Prod Environment.
• Create SOP documents and building Knowledge management (KEDB) and other GXP related artifacts.
• Training and following for GXP Standards.
• Participate in Project related activities of coordination, joining calls etc.
• Build and manage HA/DR solutions as per Standards.
• Setting up Backup and recovery policies as per Standards.
• Core Database administration task.
• Setup and Management Cloud Database like PostgreSQL , Aurora, RDS/
• Database solutioning (Defining physical architecture / building DR / HA / OR solutions)
• Building Active/ Active or Active/ Passive database solution
• Working on key database features Clustering, High Availability Solutions
• Build, Install, Upgrades, Migrations and Patching activities.
• Managing database on Windows OS
• Automation scripting skills (Linux, PowerShell, Python, Perl etc.)
• Responsible to independently setup RDS environment
• Responsible to independently do infra. migration (Cloud to Cloud, In-Premise to Cloud)
• Responsible for independently provisioning cloud infra. using CLI and Cloud-formation
• Responsible to implement the solution in a framework that is more readily available and demonstrate ease of use.

Core / Must have Skills & Qualification:

• AWS RDS Deep hands-on experience is a must.
• PostgreSQL database Administration, in-depth hands-on experience is a must.
• PostgreSQL running on AWS EC2 - database Administration in-depth hands-on experience is a must.
• Knowledge of Best practices when dealing with relational databases (PostgreSQL )
• Must be able to write SQL scripts and power shell scripts.
• Hands on experience with large size Databases running at Enterprise scale around troubleshooting, performance Tuning.
• Skilled at optimizing large, complicated SQL statements and stored procedures, functions, packages.
• Assist with common database procedures such as upgrade, patch, backup, recovery, migration, High Availability etc.
• Ensure performance, security, wallet, and availability of databases.
• Need to have strong experience in PostgreSQL HIGH Availability Solutions.
• Capable of configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters as necessary
• Design and develop PostgreSQL, Snowflake database systems including statements, data modelling, procedures
