The impact you will make
The Technical Owner will be responsible for management of software engineers and quality engineers within a scrum team. The Technical Owner will also have overall responsibility for feature delivery of the development team.
What You Will Do
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Responsible for technical management and coaching of Dev, QA, and Test Automation engineers
- Support adherence to architectural principles and work within governance processes
- Ensure quality of product functionality in collaboration with the product architect, senior technical owner, and product owners.
- Contribute to release planning by providing technical input and resource alignment.
- Work closely with product owners, developers, quality engineers, and scrum master to ensure project progress and address technical blockers.
- Participate in technical analysis, assisting with resource allocation for programming, testing, and deployment activities.
- Track project status, identifying potential risks and issues early on.
- Support team members in meeting functional requirements and project timelines through coaching and guidance.
- Suggest improvements for team processes and provide input on refining workflows.
- Comply with all company policies and guidelines as outlined in relevant handbooks and standards.
- Maintain adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company governance programs.
- 10+ years of experience in Software Development
- Advanced problem-analysis and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership, organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Experience assessing and managing individual contributors performance
- Experience working remotely and managing remote teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to design, document, and communicate technical solutions, to ICs and executive staff.
- Experience dealing with system scalability and durability challenges
- Knowledge of and experience with the following technical skills:
- Java Expertise: Proficiency in Java 8+ with experience in Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
- AWS Proficiency: Hands-on with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS (MySQL), and Step Functions.
- Serverless Development: Deep understanding of serverless architecture and event-driven design.
- Database Management: Strong skills in MySQL, including query optimization and schema design.
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation to define and manage infrastructure.
- Security Best Practices: Skilled in secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, and remediation. Experience with IAM roles/policies, encryption strategies (e.g., KMS), and protecting applications from common threats.
- DevOps and CI/CD: Expertise in building CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and Terraform for deployment automation.
- Practical experience in Object Oriented Programming and working with principles, patterns, and practices of object-oriented analysis and design
- Experience in developing multiple concurrent software development projects using Agile Software Development Life Cycle and Scrum methodology
- Experience in managing development environments
- Experience with healthcare standards ANSI X12N EDI and HL7
