Reporting to: Manager Piping

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager Piping Execution is responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating all piping execution activities on-site. The role involves ensuring the completion of piping systems within the allocated budget, timeline, and quality standards, adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement execution plans for piping works based on project schedules.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and other project teams to ensure timely availability of materials and drawings.
• Supervise piping fabrication, erection, testing, and commissioning activities on-site..

• Manage manpower and allocate tasks to contractors and site teams.
• Monitor and track resources, including materials, equipment, and workforce.

• Ensure compliance with quality standards by performing regular inspections and audits of piping works.
• Verify that all fabrication and erection activities conform to project specifications, standards, and codes.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as civil, mechanical, and electrical to resolve interface issues.
• Act as the point of contact between contractors and the project management team

• Track the progress of piping execution activities and ensure alignment with project milestones.
• Identify and address any delays, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly

• Lead a team of piping engineers, providing guidance and mentoring.
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify skill development opportunities.

• Prepare cost estimates and track expenditures related to piping systems.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

• Maintain detailed records of piping activities, including daily progress reports, material usage, and non-conformances.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and any critical issues.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of piping execution processes, including fabrication, erection, and hydro-testing
• Strong knowledge of ASME, ANSI, API, and other industry standards.
• Familiarity with process flow diagrams (PFDs) and P&IDs.

Experience:

• 810 years of hands-on experience in piping execution, preferably in [industry, e.g., oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, chemical].
