Project Role Description:
Diagnose complex issues that an in-house performance testing team has been unable to resolve, focusing on five key aspects of Performance Engineering: software development lifecycle and architecture, performance testing and validation, capacity planning, application performance management, and problem detection and resolution.
Summary:
As a Performance Engineer specializing in Dynatrace, you will be responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing Dynatrace environments to monitor application and infrastructure health. Your role will involve setting up dashboards, creating alerts, analyzing performance data, and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal system performance and user experience.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform independently and establish yourself as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Install, configure, and maintain Dynatrace agents and environments.
- Monitor application performance, infrastructure, and services.
- Create and manage custom dashboards, reports, and alerts.
- Analyze performance metrics and resolve system bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and support teams.
- Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security through Dynatrace.
- Provide guidance on best practices for Dynatrace usage.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must-Have Skills:
- Proficiency in Dynatrace APM.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledge of DevOps practices.
- Experience with AppDynamics APM, Datadog, and Splunk.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience in Dynatrace administration, monitoring, and performance management (minimum of 3 years).
- Application development experience using at least one programming language and SQL.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, application performance, and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, DevOps, or SRE practices is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Additional Information:
- A minimum of 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Good-to-have certifications: Dynatrace Certified Associate, Dynatrace Certified Professional.
