Web Application Developer (GCP) – Retail Domain

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Web Application Developer with experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a background in the retail industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable web applications on GCP, ensuring high performance and security for retail-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy scalable web applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Work with GCP services like Cloud Run, App Engine, Cloud Functions, Firestore, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.
• Design microservices-based architectures using containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes GKE).
• Build secure and high-performance RESTful APIs for retail applications.
• Work with frontend and backend teams to develop full-stack solutions.
• Optimize database performance using Firestore, BigQuery, or Cloud SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and monitoring.
• Work with retail data (inventory management, customer transactions, POS data, etc.).
• Ensure application security and compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and cloud infrastructure issues.

Required Skills:

Technical Expertise:

• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Node.js for backend development.
• Experience with Frontend frameworks like React.js, Angular, or Vue.js (optional but preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud services:
• Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, GKE (Kubernetes), App Engine
• Firestore, BigQuery, Cloud SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Cloud IAM, Cloud Logging & Monitoring (Stackdriver)
• Knowledge of API Gateway and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, Firebase Auth).
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD (Cloud Build, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD).
• Understanding of retail industry workflows such as POS systems, e-commerce platforms, and order management systems.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience working on retail applications, inventory management systems, or e-commerce platforms.
• Google Cloud Certification (Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Developer) is a plus.
