Position Title: Transport Operations Transformation Leader
Base Location: Delhi NCR

Team Size: Approximately 15 FTEs (direct & managed teams)

Role Overview: We are looking for a seasoned and dynamic Employee Transport Operations Leader to join our team. This pivotal role requires an individual with 12-15 years of experience in transport management, logistics, and team leadership, specifically in BPO employee transport management.
The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of 24/7 employee transportation services across 4 locations in India (Gurgaon, Noida, Hyderabad & Chennai), ensuring safety, efficiency, and exceptional service delivery for the movement of 7000+ associates during morning, afternoon & night shift.

This role also focuses on driving cost efficiencies and transformative initiatives within the transport operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic transport plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Route Optimization: Analyze and optimize transportation routes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support the transformation of transport services.
  • Fleet Management: Oversee the maintenance, scheduling, and utilization of the transport fleet to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with third-party transport providers to negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with service level agreements and regulatory standards.
Team Leadership
  • Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing transport team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and transformation.
  • Training: Implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the transport team, focusing on safety, efficiency, and customer service in a BPO context.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans to address any performance gaps.
Safety and Compliance
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transport operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and environmental guidelines.
  • Safety Programs: Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure the well-being of all employees, with a focus on the BPO sector.
  • Vendor Compliance: Ensure third-party transport vendors adhere to all regulatory standards and company policies, conducting regular audits and reviews to maintain compliance.
  • Incident Management: Oversee the investigation and resolution of transport-related incidents and accidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Financial Management
  • Budgeting: Develop and manage the transport department budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and identifying areas for cost efficiency.
  • Cost Control: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve the overall financial performance of the transport operations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including expenditure analysis, cost efficiency metrics, and budget forecasts.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all facilities-related matters.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and service providers.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management and other departments.
Technology and Innovation
  • Technology Integration: Leverage technology to enhance transport operations, including route planning software, GPS tracking, and telematics.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations, incorporating best practices and new technologies to improve service delivery and drive transformational change.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience: 15 years of experience in transport management, logistics, or a related field, with a proven track record of operational excellence, specifically in BPO fleet management.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in logistics, business administration, or a related discipline. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and cost efficiency analysis.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in transport management software, route optimization tools, and other relevant technologies.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control.

The Employee Transport Operations Leader will report to the Director of Facilities Management and work closely with various departments to ensure the seamless execution of transport services.
