Role Description

• Partnering with key internal stakeholders to translate bank strategy into objectives and plans for implementation while supporting the delivery of world class technology solutions
• Planning and managing platform operations including production support, systems and database administration, network operations, and client service
• Ensuring systems performance and service level requirements are met through appropriate capacity management practices
• Managing and maintaining strategic relationships with key IT product and services providers
• Transferring business requirements into technical solutions
• Providing in-depth technical expertise for both tactical and operational initiatives including oversight of Software Development Lifecycle including Release Management practices
• Proactively managing and remediating the risk

Team overview

Some of the other platforms are hosted on-prem and rely on Kafka and datastores such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, HBase, MongoDB amongst other open-source software. You'll collaborate with other Product Owners, Designers, Senior Engineers, Lead Engineers and Analysts on the platform using agile practices to incrementally add functionality to the platform and with a sharp focus on automation.You will partner with business and technology managers to define modules and enhancements to the application stack that provides Deutsche Bank's institutional clients ability to initiate payments in real time and access to their account balances & statements in near real time.

• Our Corporate Bank Technology team is a global team of 3000 Engineers (and growing!) across 30 countries. The primary businesses that we support within Corporate Bank are Cash Management, Securities Services, Trade Finance and Trust & Agency Services. CB Technology support these businesses through vertical CIO aligned teams and by horizontals such as Client Connectivity, Surveillance and Regulatory, Infrastructure, Architecture, Production, and Risk & Control

• Manage stakeholder engagement while continuously improving the collaboration and communication channels with our partners in India operations and, global business leaders across multiple time zones

• 18-20 years of technical and functional experience in financial industry with focus on developing J2EE platforms and frameworks such as Spring Boot, React JS based user interfaces, streaming over Kafka, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Test Automation
• 10+ years of experience in engineering and managing high throughput, low latency, scalable and resilient systems
• 7+ years of experience managing cloud platforms (preferably GCP)
• Demonstrable engineering hands on development experience to lead engineering teams
• Strong Agile skills with running Dev Ops, IT Risk and control, SRE squads
• Experience with people development with respect to training, upskilling, providing right opportunities within India and global squads
• Knowledge in Banking and Payment system capabilities will be a huge plus
