Job Description
We invite application from an experienced Design Engineer, Engineers & Sr. Engineers to join our Electrical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical system design, both in FEED and detailed engineering phases with hands on experience in the Oil & Gas (majority in upstream & some downstream) experience.Professional from the Power sector might also be considered for specific Projects.
Responsibilities
Design electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and control systems for oil and gas projects.
Create electrical schematics, layouts, single-line diagrams, and equipment specifications.
Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes and standards, such as NEC, IEC, etc.
Select appropriate electrical equipment and components based on project requirements and technical specifications.
Perform load calculations, power studies, and fault analysis to determine system requirements and ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including process engineers, instrumentation engineers, and project managers, to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
Conduct technical reviews and provide input on electrical design documents and drawings.
Support procurement activities by reviewing vendor documentation, evaluating technical proposals, and participating in equipment inspections.
Assist in the preparation of project cost estimates, schedules, and engineering deliverables.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters.
Requirements
Engineering graduate (UG/PG) with post qualification experience of 4 to 12 years.
Proven experience in electrical system design for Oil & Gas projects, including FEED and detail engineering phases.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards, such as NEC, IEC, etc.
Proficiency in electrical design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, etc.
Familiarity with electrical equipment and components used in the Oil & Gas and Power Sectors, including switchgear, transformers, motors, cables, etc.
Ability to perform load calculations, power studies, and fault analysis using industry-standard software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
