Job Overview

This is a full-time position based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

• Junior-level position with 1 to 3 years of experience in medical coding
• Certification in CPC (Certified Professional Coder) preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding systems (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
• Familiarity with Evaluation and Management coding guidelines
• Experience with CPT Codes, CCS (Certified Coding Specialist), and medical coding software
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Review and analyze patient medical records
• Assign accurate and appropriate medical codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services
• Ensure coding compliance with applicable guidelines and regulations
• Stay updated and knowledgeable about current coding practices and changes in the healthcare industry
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and obtain necessary information
• Resolve any coding discrepancies or issues
• Follow up on denied claims and assist with the appeals process
• Maintain patient confidentiality and information security
• Keep accurate records of coding activities
