Logistics Operations Manager

Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE

Being a strategic partner to the function and the maison across.

The ideal candidate for the Operations Manager role will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including overseeing various operational aspects within the company. Additionally, this candidate should demonstrate strong Strategic approach , long-term vision , excellent communication skills, and exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Ensure that all Logistics operations perform in line with the agreed KPI's & SLA's and that the legal and Group compliance requirements are met at all times during transportation and clearance of all goods at all destinations.
• Ensure that relevant planning and project execution are carried out as per schedules to ensure effective functioning of the department
• Ensure proper monitoring & performance of all 3 rd Party Logistics providers.
• Identify key improvement areas and develop plans for their execution

Responsibilities

• Import & re-export compliance, mandatory certification / registration for smooth trade of products in India
• Compliance related to legal metrology (packaged commodity rules) while importation, storage, and distribution within India
• Distribution compliance, E-waybill, E-invoice etc.

• Ensure that the outsourced operations are performing as per the agreed SLA's & KPIs with the Logistics Partner(s).
• Establish and ensure adequate reporting with the Logistics Partner(s).
• Maintain & develop relationship with the External Logistics provider, Customs, Statutory organisations
• Ensure accurate management of inventory. Physical with the warehouse management system of external provider
• Ensure full respect of Group procedures with respect to customs, security, quality and legal.
• Permanent re-engineering of the existing processes to implement improvements and maximize the performance of the platform.

• Ensure that all inbound & Outbound operations are managed within the agreed SLA's & KPI's.
• Ensure full compliance of Customs rules and regulations.
• Ensure compliance to policy & procedures of brands in all aspects of operations.
• Evaluate, negotiate and appoint key transport suppliers.
• Regular scanning for changes in Customs and other related Govt. authorities laws to ensure seamless flow for import and export.
• Ensure full compliance for legal metrology (packaged commodity rules).

• Ensure timely and accurate movement (Reception & Transfer) of goods
• Ensuring all licenses are current and always updated
• Ensure timely and accurate payment to all key suppliers. (Customs, Freight forwarders, Logistics partners etc)
• Month end reporting

Team Management

• Maintaining working relationship with India customs and other relevant agencies
• Resolving issues at customs if any
• Ensure validity of all licenses for operations
• Facilitate ATA Carnets
• SVB facilitation
• Coordination for A1 remittances
• Interaction with Brands and Logistics set up at Dubai and Geneva
• Cost control and budgeting
• Audit coordination
• Implementation of the internal control system points
• Duty Drawback filings and recoveries
• BIS registrations
• WPC approvals
• Ensuring mandatory hallmarking compliances
• Ensure on-time completion of logistics projects
