Finance Manager - Accounts Payable and Compliance

About Company: A leading provider in the GenAI-powered learning and skilling space has recently secured $30 million in Series C funding, paving the way for ambitious global go-to-market expansion. This innovative company specializes in offering a comprehensive suite of tools, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), and Frontline Learning Environments (FLE), aimed at unlocking business potential through personalized learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-Day Accounting:
- Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions. o Monitor cash flow and assist in cash management strategies.
Accounts Payable Management:
- Develop and implement accounts payable processes and policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable aging reports.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Handle vendor communications and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Compliance Oversight:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Oversee internal controls and implement necessary improvements.
- Prepare and maintain compliance-related documentation.
- Assist in audits and ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Ensure closure of books of accounts on a monthly basis
- Prepare the monthly PL and BS schedules
Financial Reporting:
- Preparation of financial statements and reports and coordinating with auditor.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor junior finance team members.
- Provide training and support to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3 to 5 years of experience.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Be a go-getter who never transfers ownership
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in managing accounts payable and compliance within a corporate setting.
Familiarity with Zoho books, Quickbooks
