What you have to do:
Audio/Visual Systems Expertise:
Set up and configure audiovisual equipment, including projectors, screens, sound systems, microphones, video conferencing systems, and lighting equipment.Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of audiovisual equipment prior to each event, ensuring optimal functionality and quality of sound and visuals.
Operate audiovisual equipment during events, ensuring seamless transitions between different media and maintaining appropriate sound and visual levels.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to presenters and attendees during events, resolving any audiovisual issues that may arise promptly and professionally.
Maintain and update audiovisual inventory, including equipment, cables, connectors, and accessories, ensuring all items are properly organized, stored, and labeled.
Perform routine maintenance and periodic calibration of audiovisual equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in audiovisual technology, recommending upgrades or new equipment as needed to enhance the overall audiovisual experience.
Collaborate with other technical staff, such as IT professionals and network administrators, to integrate audiovisual systems with existing infrastructure and ensure compatibility and reliability.
Document and maintain a comprehensive record of audiovisual setups, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Networking and IT Skills:
Understanding of basic networking principles, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and QoS.Experience with networked AV systems and integration with IT infrastructure.
Good knowledge of google drive storage, back up mechanisms and virtual machines storages.
Software Proficiency:
Familiarity with AV software tools for design, monitoring, and management.Experience with video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex). Knowledge of digital signage software.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve AV issues quickly and effectively.Experience with preventive maintenance of AV systems.
Soft Skills:
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Customer Service:
High level of customer service and ability to work effectively with end-users.Experience in managing client expectations and delivering satisfactory solutions.
Project Management:
Experience managing AV projects from conception to completion.Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and ensure timely project delivery.
Problem-Solving:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to think critically and adapt to changing situations.
Work Experience
What you've done:
4 to 5 years of experience in AV systems integration, support, and maintenance.Proven track record of working on large-scale AV setups, installations and integrations.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering) or equivalent work experience.Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D from AVIXA) are a plus.
