CMM Engineer – QAD Machine Shop
Job Description
Hical Technologies is looking for a CMM Engineer QAD Machine Shop with 2 to 4 years of experience in CMM inspection and programming. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Zeiss CMM, Calypso software, GD&T, and quality management systems (ISO 9001:2015 & AS9100D).This role involves inspection planning, measurement techniques, and quality assurance for mechanical, electrical, and electronic components in a precision manufacturing environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
CMM Inspection & Programming:
- Operate and program Zeiss CMM using Calypso software.
- Perform inspection of mechanical, electrical, and electronic parts using CMM and other measurement techniques.
- Conduct GD&T analysis as per ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Utilize CMM systems such as Carl Zeiss, Mitutoyo, Accurate, and Brown & Sharpe for precision measurements.
Quality Assurance & Control:
- Interpret engineering drawings and ensure compliance with inspection plans and control plans.
- Implement ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 quality management system (QMS) standards.
- Conduct process flow diagrams (PFDs), failure mode & effects analysis (FMEA), and control plans.
- Apply PPAP, SPC, and QC tools for process improvements.
Problem-Solving & Process Improvement:
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action reporting for non-conformance issues.
- Utilize PDCA methodology for continuous process enhancements.
- Ensure quality compliance in various manufacturing processes, including sheet metal, casting, machining, surface treatments, and heat treatments.
Collaboration & Documentation:
- Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to maintain high standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports for all inspection processes.
- Communicate findings and suggest improvements to enhance overall product quality.
Must-Have Skills:
Proficiency in Zeiss CMM inspection & programming.
Strong knowledge of Calypso software and GD&T.
Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 QMS standards.
Experience in measurement techniques and inspection planning.
Understanding of PPAP, SPC, and problem-solving methodologies.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
