A leading European global company in the Industrial / Manufacturing sector, employing over 5000+ people worldwide, with a significant presence in the machine manufacturing industry. They are looking to strengthen their global Supply Chain Team and thus hiring a strong Strategic Sourcing professional based out of Bangalore

Job Description

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing policies in the machine manufacturing industry by leading the development and annual updates of mid term to long term vision, strategy, and organizational structure for assigned commodities.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts by leading activities including but not limited to: Supplier selection, Execution of supplier investment plans, Commercial negotiations, and Risk mitigation
• Build and Lead a team in the Procurement & Supply Chain department and Develop, train, mentor and inspire a large team of supply chain professionals across a global footprint in both areas of commodity strategy and supplier management.
• Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions and also Identify and anticipate problems and risks within the supply chain in advance and address those issues in advance of and to avoid a critical situation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency and high service levels.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Lead-Strategic Sourcing' should have:

• A full time engineer
• At least 18 years of overall experience in Strategic sourcing with global suppliers. Interpersonal and leadership skills across multiple cultures in Europe, North America and Asia
• Exposure to Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical, Mechanical categories is a MUST
• Open to Bengaluru Urban as a location
• Candidate should come with experience - dealing with Semi-Conductor industry.
