Job Title: APAC Security and Resilience Lead
Job Summary: The APAC Security and Resilience Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive security and business continuity strategies across the Asia-Pacific region. This role ensures the protection of the organization's assets, people, and operations while enhancing resilience against various threats and disruptions.The position requires a deep understanding of the diverse risk landscape in the APAC region and the ability to adapt global security standards to local contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement security and resilience strategies tailored to the APAC region, aligned with global corporate policies
Oversee physical security, information security, and business continuity programs across APAC offices and operations
Conduct regular risk assessments and threat analyses specific to APAC countries and markets
Design and implement crisis management and emergency response plans for various scenarios
Lead and coordinate security and resilience teams across APAC countries
Collaborate with local, regional, and global stakeholders to ensure consistent security practices
Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement, government agencies, and security partners in APAC countries
Ensure compliance with local and international security regulations and standards
Manage the regional security and resilience budget, allocating resources effectively across APAC operations
Develop and deliver security awareness and training programs tailored to APAC cultural contexts
Investigate and report on security incidents, recommending and implementing corrective actions
Stay informed about geopolitical developments, security trends, and emerging risks in the APAC region
Provide expert advice to senior management on security and resilience matters in APAC
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security technologies and systems across the region
Develop and track key performance indicators for security and resilience programs in APAC
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Business Continuity, International Relations, or related field; Master's degree preferred
10+ years of experience in security and resilience roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position in APAC
Demonstrable experience in managing security and business continuity programs in multiple APAC countries
Strong understanding of the diverse cultural, political, and business environments across APAC
Excellent knowledge of international and regional security standards and best practices
Experience in crisis management and emergency response planning
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence across cultures
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present to senior management
Fluency in English; proficiency in one or more APAC languages is highly advantageous
Proven track record in developing and implementing security strategies in complex organizations
Experience in managing budgets and resources across multiple countries
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel frequently within the APAC region
Relevant certifications such as CPP, CBCP, or CISM are preferred
Experience in a multinational corporate environment is highly desirable
