Position Overview:

Solarium Green Energy Ltd is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Business Development Manager with 2-8 years of experience in business development and sales, particularly in B2B sectors. While prior experience in the solar industry is desirable, it is not mandatory.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in B2B sales, particularly for large-scale projects (kW and MW) and the ability to work with corporate clients. This role will focus on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, expanding the company's footprint in the solar market, and driving growth through EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Opportunity Identification:
  • Research and identify new business opportunities in the solar energy sector, with a focus on targeting corporate and industrial clients.
  • Evaluate potential projects, emerging markets, and strategic partnerships that align with the company's business goals.
  1. Lead Sourcing & Pipeline Management:
  • Generate and qualify sales leads through various channels, including networking, industry events, market research, and referrals.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure consistent growth and business development in B2B sectors.
  1. Corporate Client Relationship Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all solar energy inquiries and services.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solar solutions to meet their requirements, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Strategy Development & Execution:
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategies for market penetration, specifically targeting EPC services for corporate clients and industrial projects.
  • Drive the execution of business development initiatives that align with the company's vision and market positioning.
  1. Contract Negotiation & Deal Closure:
  • Lead negotiations on contracts, pricing, and terms with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with company objectives and growth targets.
  • Oversee the entire sales process, from initial inquiry to contract finalization and project execution.
  1. Market Analysis & Industry Insights:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the renewable energy and solar sector.
  • Provide strategic insights to senior management regarding market conditions, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.
  1. Collaboration with Internal Teams:
  • Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, project management, and operations, to ensure smooth execution and delivery of solar projects.
  • Ensure client expectations are met and that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  1. Reporting & Performance Tracking:
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales pipeline status, and market trends for senior management.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide updates on progress toward business development goals.

Qualifications:

  • B. Tech or B.E. in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technic
  • in a specialization in Power/Solar or Business Development is an added advantage.
  • (Note: A background in solar is not mandatory, but knowledge of B2B sales processes and experience in handling large-scale projects is required.)
  • Experience:
  • 2-8 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in sectors such as engineering, infrastructure, or energy.
  • Proven track record in handling B2B sales, particularly for large-scale projects (kW and MW range).
  • Experience working with corporate clients, managing relationships, and understanding their energy and sustainability needs is essential.
