About the team:

Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) is a 2nd Line-of-Defense function within Credit Risk that will enhance oversight and controls over CCR metrics. The Vice President will mainly serve as a key player in all BAU reporting and any ad-hoc reporting to senior managers and work with the business owner for all CCR systems and all CCR Models, as well as providing assistance to the leadership on various other counterparty risk related projects.

Below are the roles and responsibilities.

  • Work as a key player in all BAU and ad-hoc related reporting including stress testing (single and multi-risk factor stress testing) reporting, sensitivities reporting, exposure reporting and various other risk reporting on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Work with senior management roles to ensure that the appropriate counterparty credit risk and collateral management policies, methods, standards, processes, and training are developed, applied and understood by impacted stakeholders. Applies knowledge of market or liquidity risk analysis, monitoring processes and in-depth knowledge of the financial industry, technology and the requirements of regulatory bodies in support of managing and analyzing risk.
  • Produces (and may deliver) risk presentations to senior management. Addresses Audit and regulatory concerns regarding the counterparty credit risk framework, governance, and operations.
  • Manage activities related to the development and production of counterparty credit risk platforms and metrics. Update and implement the risk policies and procedures and internal controls related to counterparty credit risk.
  • Discuss and negotiate technical requirements and multi-departmental solutions, designs and implements innovative, efficient, auditable processes, and documents results for all levels of management.
  • Design solutions for counterparty credit risk management that are aligned with evolving regulatory requirements, audit and compliance scrutiny and industry best practices.
  • Responsibilities are primarily specialized to address the counterparty credit risk management needs for major global initiatives, large areas of the business, specific legal entities, or material events.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Masters degree preferred.
  • 10-12 years of experience in market or credit liquidity risk preferred. Experience in financial services is strongly preferred. Experience in securities financing, FX and derivatives or counterparty stress testing preferred. Background in math, statistics, finance, economics, risk management, operations research, or a similar field is preferred.
  • Market Risk: Ability to analyze and report on counterparty credit risk metrics and to develop and analyze the impact of internal and regulatory stress tests
  • Programming skills such as SQL, Python, Visual Basic preferred.
