Software Engineer III - Java - Bangalore

Overview:

Validates requirements, performs analysis and design for system improvements and new applications. Represents the department by leading work and providing guidance to others.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software to meet requirements
• Design and develop test automation code
• Complete complex program changes; self-directed
• Perform comprehensive analysis and design for broadly defined requirements
• Make significant technical contributions; contribute to technical direction
• Provide estimates required for user stories based on business requirements, specifications and designs
• Comply with and contribute to SDLC standards and CD/CI procedures to ensure consistency; introduce new standards and opportunities for improvements
• Monitor progress against task estimates to provide status
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for applications across environments, including high impact production issues
• Maintain existing code base, monitoring for failures in non-prod environments
• Support changes during quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and post implementation to ensure integrity of application
• Share technical expertise; guide and mentor others to maximize team effectiveness and quality
• Subject Matter Expert in a relevant technology or Paychex application

Qualifications:

• Experience with the Java front end technologies
• Proven work experience in REST, REST API, JASON, JQuery
• Knowledge of Java backend technologies and experience in integrating Java business layer systems.
• Develop new software enables the launch of new product functionality and services with technologies ranging from HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience in CSS framework – Bootstrap
• In depth knowledge of JavaScript frameworks and patterns
• Experience in Python
• Proven solid experience with AngularJS, Angular 11, ReactJS
• Experience in XML, Java – Sprint Boot
• Web Services Development - advance level of knowledge of web service development using Java technologies specifically Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, Spring Batch
• Proven experience in testing - using robot framework, TAF/PXT, Jasmine, Karma
• Cloud Development and CI/CD - Experience of developing and deploying services in CI/CD based Cloud Environments, XLR/XLD
• Database Technologies - Experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL MongoDB
• Build Tools- Experience with Gradle and Maven
• Containerization - Experience of working with Dockers, Kubernetes and Openshift
• Messaging Technologies - Work Experience in Kafka, RabbitMQ
