Responsibilities:

Be the voice of the EV cell design, bridging customer needs with business and technical requirements

Lead cell design development, modelling and validation for large format, low cost EV class cells to deliver a differentiated product to our customers and partners

Support cell design definition with mechanical, electrical, electrochemical and thermal analysis as required

Work with internal and external teams to define and execute development, commercialization, and cost benchmarking and reduction programs

Form strong external relationships in the market, including with existing and new partners, vendors, and customers

Create clear and thoughtful communications for both internal and external audiences of all levels

Creative, customer focused problem solver

Support fundraising and grant submission efforts as necessary

Qualifications:

5+ years experience as a Cell Design Engineer with demonstrated history or bringing new cell designs to market

Bachelor's Degree in Material Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar physical science

Experience with product design, development, and commercialization in the EV or adjacent markets

Experience guiding cross functional teams through rapid and complex periods of transformation

Experience in battery or automotive industry preferred

Excellent written and oral communications skills
