Sr. Analyst - Portfolio Reconciliation
Responsibilities:
This role involves performing of Medium complex accounts, resolving breaks and working with internal teams as well as external parties, Understanding & managing Market Value Reconciliations, supporting & assisting other fellow team members. Troubleshoot queries of team members, perform review related activities.Handling queries from external team and custodians.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance, economics or business required, should possess 5 to 7 years' work experience in investment/mutual fund operations or related field. Good understanding of Capital Markets and Investments banking required.
Analytical & problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills required.
Additional Information:
Identify and resolve issues associated with client data, trade breaks, reconciliation breaks. Prepare reports and maintain controls in alignment with internal policies and client’s needs. Interface with internal and external teams including senior operations staff, IT team, Trade Support, custodians, portfolio managers to obtain information and resolve problems.Troubleshoot queries of team members, perform review related activities.
Further strengthen relationships with internal and external personnel including senior operations members, IT team, custodians and/or industry contacts to educate, seek direction, obtain information and resolve problems. Ensure accurate and timely completion of accounts, appropriate research on breaks along with a detailed understanding of inputs, dependencies, and data flow.
Develop understanding of Principal Global Investors' products, team procedures, and clients' needs through self-initiated research, participation in available training programs and involvement in on-going investment activities
Maintain and expand upon comprehensive understanding of Principal Global Investors products, team procedures, client needs, financial markets and more granular security and asset class data and sensitivities through self-initiated research, participation in available training programs.With knowledge, proactively employ better, more efficient ways to resolve breaks.
