Senior Solution Architect for Cloud and Data Centre Infrastructure Managed Services
Objective:
The Senior Solution Architect for Cloud and Data Centre Infrastructure Managed Services will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing advanced cloud and data centre solutions. With 18+ years of industry experience, the successful candidate will bring extensive technical expertise and leadership to shape the company's managed services strategy and deliver high-impact projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and architecture of managed services for cloud and data centre infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
Design and develop solutions on Data Centre, Cloud technology using GenAI and Automation tool.
Collaborate with IT team and senior stakeholders on complex data centre and cloud projects and initiatives, providing technical guidance and expertise.
Good understanding of security and privacy for cloud and data centre infrastructure, implementing advanced security measures such as encryption, identity management, and threat detection.
Understanding of monitoring tools used in cloud and data centre infrastructure for peak performance and availability, such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
Analyse and resolve complex technical issues related to data centre and cloud managed services implementation, employing troubleshooting tools and techniques.
Help customer in Developing and implement automation processes to streamline data centre and cloud operations and enhance efficiency, using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data centre and cloud managed services and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Conduct comprehensive capacity planning to ensure the data centre and cloud infrastructure can handle current and future demand, utilizing tools like Capacity Planner or realize Operations.
Provide solution on disaster recovery and business continuity plans for data centre and cloud.
Engage with clients, stakeholders, and executive leadership to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions, creating detailed design documents and technical specifications.
Lead technical presentations and discussions with clients, partners, and internal teams, demonstrating deep technical knowledge and expertise in data centre and cloud managed services.
Participate in pre-sales activities, including conducting Proof of Concepts (PoC), building BoQs, supporting security designs, writing proposals, delivering product-specific presentations, training, and responding to RFPs and RFIs with commercial proposals.
Respond to customer requests for proposals, develop detailed designs, and create bills of materials for cost-effective solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
18+ years of experience in cloud architecture, data centre management, and IT infrastructure
Expertise in cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
Strong understanding of enterprise cloud architecture, and data migration
Experience in system architecture, cloud, and project management
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus
Knowledge of Operating System, Compute, Storage, backup, Active Directory, and security solutions
Desired Skills
Expertise in data centre infrastructure solutions (On-Premises / Cloud-Hosted).
Proficiency in cloud computing technologies and architectures.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Experience with cloud connectivity and network fundamentals.
Proficiency in cloud management and orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance (IAM, encryption, threat detection).
Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions for cloud and data centre environments.
Familiarity with monitoring and performance management tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).
Understanding of software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV).
Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration products (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL processes.
