Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a US Tax Specialist at Adhoc Consult LLP located in Hyderabad. The role involves tax planning, tax preparation, financial analysis, and expertise in tax law.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file accurate tax returns for clients, including Form 1040, Schedule C, and various state forms.
• Review financial records to ensure compliance with IRS rules and regulations.
• Stay updated with the latest tax legislation, IRS rulings, and tax software updates.
• Handle client inquiries and provide support during tax season, including explaining tax documents and procedures.
• Conduct initial and ongoing client interviews to gather necessary financial information.
• Resolve tax authority notices or discrepancies for clients.
• Use tax preparation software proficiently (e.g., UltraTax, TurboTax, H&R Block, QBO).
• Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical guidelines.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments for clients when applicable.

Requirements:

• Bachelor&aposs degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation or a similar role.
• Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines, especially during peak tax season.
• Knowledge of multi-state taxation is a plus.
