Job Summary:
A Network Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, implementing, and managing an organization's network infrastructure. This includes local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and internet connections. Their primary goal is to ensure the network operates efficiently and securely, supporting the organization's communication and data transfer needs.
Roles & Responsibilities :
Design, Deploy and implement network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Configure and optimize network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs).
Managing network after installation, troubleshoot issues, and ensure maximum uptime.
Implement and maintain network security (firewalls, IDS, VPNs).
Manage user access control and network permissions.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network systems with other infrastructure.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for our clients.
Configure and troubleshoot wireless access points efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2+ years of experience as network engineer.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing & Switching etc.).
Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
Familiarity with cloud networking and virtualization technologies.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Bachelor's Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
