Our Risk Advisory Services group is seeking a Senior-level professional specializing in Internal Audit to join our India team. As an integral member of the group, you’ll work with the client’s management and governance to understand strategic, operational, financial, and compliance objectives within the financial services industry in an effort to help them identify risks that could impact those objectives and make recommendations for mitigating those risks.
How You’ll Contribute:
- Direct a team of consultants to evaluate the design of client client-instituted internal control environment and conduct day-to-day testing procedures
- Design and manage the execution of tests of controls; analyze the adequacy and operational effectiveness of processes and controls
- Plan and conduct audit interviews and oral briefings
- Prepare clear and concise work papers and deliverables such as Summary Memos, Testing Matrices, and other statements of facts noted during the audit
- Interact with clients and team members and report to project seniors and managers
- Assist the project manager in reviewing the accuracy of weekly status reporting to the client
- Develop creative and practical recommendations for improvement that address identified risks
- Coordinate the resolution of any related accounting and auditing issues with the client
- Ensure compliance reviews, related system reviews, and internal control assessments are performed with technical proficiency, in a timely manner, and in accordance with applicable professional standards
- Prepare reports to ensure findings and recommendations are objective, factual and in conformation with overall report-writing procedures and best practices
- Delegate to others to provide stretch opportunities and coach to help deliver results.
- Develop new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems.
- Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current trends in business area.
- Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance.
- Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing others.
- Provide written and verbal performance feedback to team members on internal audit engagements to assist in their development and achievement of goals and objectives
- Create client deliverables that illustrate engagement scope, procedures and results, including the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the processes/controls reviewed
- Develop and maintain relationships with client personnel while continually improving client satisfaction
- Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge and a proven record of success in completing aspects of
- Demonstrate a proven record of success in a role directing company- or firm-wide functions within, the following areas as it applies to the planning, executing and reporting of financial, operational and compliance-related audits/projects to facilitate complex financial, operational and compliance-related engagements:
o Generally Accepted Accounting Principles;
o Financial and operational fraud risk management;
o Antifraud internal controls;
o IT general and process controls, including Data Privacy and IT security;
o Anti-corruption and anti-bribery;
o Auditor Independence.
Requirements- 3 to 5 years of internal auditing or risk management consulting experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Relevant industry-specific certification strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and detail-orientated skills
- Ability to perform work on multiple projects at the same time
- Well-developed analytical, interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Strong understanding of internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley, internal control reviews and process risk assessments
- Solid understanding of Information Technology (IT) risks and related controls
- Proficient MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Access)
- Ability to work overtime
