Education and Experience Requirements:

• A bachelors degree in engineering from a reputed University with 12-15 years of industry experience in purchasing and expediting functions (minimum 5 years in expediting) in a reputed company on Energy, Infrastructure, or mining projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Thorough understanding of equipment and material fabrication steps and methods.
• Proficiency in monitoring supplier performance, back-charge procedures and the resolution of claims and disputes.
• Thorough understanding of Logistics and Supplier Quality processes.
• Proficient in interpreting schedules to ensure that realistic milestones are established, that required activities occur on time, and that
• Interface between activities is maintained.
• Skilled in oral and written communication skills regarding technical and production matters with both project and supplier personnel.
• Knows how to deal professionally with suppliers and project personnel.
• Capable of providing early warning to the Project Management of supplier deficiencies or schedule slippage.
• Familiar with how to develop expediting budgets.
• Familiar with developing and tracking metrics.
