Rapyuta Robotics, an ETH Zurich spin-off, operates with the goal of making robots more accessible to anyone in the logistics industry. Rapyuta Robotics seeks individuals who believe that collaborative work leads to more effective and sustainable outcomes and are fearless in challenging limits—whether within themselves or in their surroundings—to make a dent in the universe.
As an Electronics Engineer in Rapyuta Robotics, you will closely collaborate with Mechanical Engineers, Embedded Software Engineers and our Manufacturing partners to push the boundaries of what can be done on robotics hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Design electronics system architectures and develop PCBs to enable various robotic functions. Modify and improve existing hardware for new features and cost-effective solutions.
- Problem Solving: Diagnose hardware issues within integrated systems, developing fixes and workarounds as necessary.
- Hands-on Assembly for Prototypes and Debugging: Conduct board-level and system-level assembly, including reworking PCBs, for prototypes and when investigating escalated hardware issues from field engineers.
- Industry Experience: 5+ years of proven experience designing embedded electronic systems in the automotive, aerospace, or mobile medical devices industry, including analog and digital circuit design with embedded processors, microcontrollers, and mixed-signal electronics.
- Academic Background: B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), or a similar degree.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, soldering irons, and other common electrical engineering tools used for PCBA testing, diagnostics, and measurement.
- Embedded System Knowledge: Experience with microcontroller concepts, including GPIOs, PWM, ADCs, DACs, and serial data interfaces (I2C, UART, SPI, CAN, etc.).
- Design Tools: Proficiency with schematic capture and layout software (e.g., KICAD, Altium Designer, Protel, OrCAD).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Job Location: Chennai (default). On-site work in Tokyo will be required for initial training and as needed for key stages of product development.
