Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Engineer at a junior level for our Mumbai location on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, providing support and maintenance to desktop systems, software, and hardware.

This role involves troubleshooting issues, maintaining systems, and ensuring smooth operations across various IT environments.

Qualifications And Skills
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with desktop support or similar roles, providing technical assistance and support.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues, ensuring quick and effective resolution. (Mandatory skill)
  • Experience in hardware maintenance, including installation, replacement, and repair of computer systems. (Mandatory skill)
  • Proficiency in remote desktop support to assist clients in resolving their technical challenges efficiently. (Mandatory skill)
  • Knowledge of network configuration to support wireless and wired network setups and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems, ensuring proper installation and support for seamless operation.
  • Experience with Office 365 for managing user accounts and troubleshooting related issues.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Intune for the deployment and management of organizational resources on devices.
Roles And Responsibilities
  • Provide desktop support and general troubleshooting for software and hardware issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on systems to identify and rectify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in the configuration and maintenance of networks, including troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Implement and manage software installations and updates to ensure all systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Document and escalate complex problems to senior IT staff or external partners when necessary.
  • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Provide end-user training and support on the usage of IT equipment and applications.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff in project planning and implementation to enhance service delivery.
