Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with expertise in the Mortgage and Real Estate domains to join our team. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness in the mortgage and real estate industry. Your primary focus will be on understanding business requirements, gathering data, conducting analysis, and translating findings into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes, workflows, and systems related to mortgage and real estate operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business needs, gather requirements, and define project objectives.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive process improvements and inform decision-making.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and testers, to ensure accurate and timely delivery of solutions.
• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and interviews to elicit requirements and gather feedback from stakeholders.
• Perform gap analysis to identify areas where existing systems or processes fall short and propose solutions to address those gaps.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate proposed solutions and make recommendations to stakeholders.
• Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that delivered solutions meet the specified requirements and quality standards.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in the mortgage and real estate domains and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. A masters degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the mortgage and real estate domains.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage and real estate processes, including loan origination, underwriting, appraisal, title, escrow, and closing.
• Familiarity with mortgage lending software systems, such as loan origination systems (LOS), customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and document management systems.
• Proficient in data analysis techniques and tools, including SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and knowledge of project management principles.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are preferred but not required.
