Sustainability Analyst - Bangalore

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Collecting and handling data related to ESG, climate change, and sustainability from sources, such as annual reports, 10Ks, issuer sustainability reports, integrated reports, CDP, and other relevant sources, while maintaining the highest data quality standards.
• Mining non-financial data from regulatory bodies to develop ESG risk models.
• Experience in negative screening/exclusionary criteria for the investment universe
• Identifying relevant ESG metrics for portfolio companies, assess governance issues and corporate structures, and evaluating controversies and product liability claims.
• Tracking and monitoring developments and trends across sectors and assessing their ESG impact on companies in the sector.
• Writing succinct summaries and detailed reports on ESG issues.
• Conducting ESG rating and research on issuers using leading ratings methodologies and sustainable bond principles.

Understanding of different ESG frameworks and assessments.

Key competencies:

• A minimum of two to four years experience in ESG data collation, research and negative screening/exclusionary screening of stocks

• Strong interest in tracking ESG trends and knowledge about dominant ESG issues impacting different sectors, such as water, climate change, waste, circular economy, and others
• Comfortable working with people of various skills levels and diverse backgrounds.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to articulate analytical viewpoint
• Good client relationship management skills and communication skills

Strong in MS office, particularly MS Excel.
