Details:

We are looking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team at the L3 level.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the advanced management, optimization, and troubleshooting of Oracle database environments, including high-availability and disaster recovery configurations.

This role will support complex database environments, provide critical incident management, and deliver performance improvements for business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:-

Database Management:

• Perform advanced-level database administration, including installation, configuration, and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products.
• Manage and maintain complex Oracle database environments (versions 11g, 12c, 19c, and above), ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
• Performance Tuning and Optimization:
• Conduct in-depth performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure high-performance levels.
• Monitor database activity, resource usage, and execute tuning to optimize performance.
• Backup and Recovery:
• Implement, test, and manage advanced backup and recovery procedures, including RMAN and Data Pump.
• Ensure adherence to recovery objectives (RPO/RTO) and establish robust disaster recovery protocols.
• High Availability and DR:
• Design, implement, and manage high-availability configurations such as RAC (Real Application Clusters), Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
• Support database failover, switchover, and replication strategies to meet business continuity needs.
• Security and Compliance:
• Ensure database security standards by managing user access, roles, and privileges.
• Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks for regulatory adherence.
• Capacity Planning and Monitoring:
• Conduct capacity planning based on current usage and future growth.
• Set up, configure, and maintain monitoring tools for proactive database health checks and alerting.
• Troubleshooting and Incident Management:
• Lead the resolution of complex incidents related to database performance, availability, and data integrity.
• Collaborate with application teams, network teams, and storage administrators to resolve multi-layered issues.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
• Mentor junior DBAs and provide training sessions as needed.
• Technical Skills:
• Expert in Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, 19c, and higher.
• Proficient with SQL, PL/SQL, RMAN, Data Pump, OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager), and ASM.
• Strong understanding of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and other high-availability/disaster recovery solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix OS environments, scripting (Shell, Python), and automation tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus.
• Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) is highly desirable.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Based on Experience
