Job Description

Job Role: Cinematic Artist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cinematic Creation:
  • Design and create high-quality cinematic sequences using Unreal Engine, including camera setup, lighting, and animation.
  • Create storyboarding to translate story concepts into compelling cinematic moments.
  • Implement dynamic and engaging camera movements, framing, and visual compositions.
  • 3D Tasks:
  • Model, texture, and create assets for environments, characters, props, and VFX.
  • Optimize 3D assets for real-time performance without compromising visual quality.
  • Collaborate with the art team to ensure assets and scenes align with the overall project style and quality benchmarks.
  • Animate character Props and environment in Unreal engine
  • Lighting and Rendering:
  • Create and optimize realistic or stylized lighting setups for cinematic and gameplay scenes.
  • Work on rendering pipelines to achieve high-quality visuals within Unreal Engine.
  • Optimise performance in Unreal
  • Content Integration:
  • Integrate assets and animations into Unreal Engine, ensuring seamless transitions and interactions.
  • Work closely with technical artists to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
  • Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with animators, designers, and VFX artists to ensure cinematic and 3D assets meet creative and technical requirements.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and provide input on visual storytelling techniques.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Cinematic Artist, 3D Video artist, or similar role in the gaming or entertainment industry.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing cinematic work in Unreal and 3D assets content creation
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Editing tool, Unreal Engine, including Sequencer, Blueprints, and rendering workflows.
  • Strong understanding of camera techniques, lighting, and composition.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max.
  • Experience with texturing tools like Substance Painter/Designer or Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of optimizing assets for real-time performance.
  • Artistic Skills:
  • Strong sense of storytelling, timing, and visual composition.
  • Ability to create both realistic and stylized assets as per project needs.
  • Attention to detail and an eye for quality.
  • Problem-Solving:
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for technical and artistic challenges.
  • Collaboration:
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to take direction and incorporate feedback constructively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with motion capture and integrating mocap data into Unreal Engine.
  • Familiarity with rigging and character animation pipelines.
  • Knowledge of post-production workflows, including editing and compositing.
  • Passion for storytelling and creating immersive cinematic experiences.
  • Video editing experience rendered in Unreal engine
  • 3d content creation experience
