Role Overview

The Vice President (VP) M.I.C.E. Corporate Sales is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the overall corporate sales strategy for Medallin Sports M.I.C.E. division. This role will lead the development and execution of innovative sales strategies, manage large-scale client relationships, and oversee the performance of the M.I.C.E. sales function. The VP will be accountable for expanding market share, increasing profitability, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Lead the development and execution of the M.I.C.E. corporate sales strategy, aligned with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Oversee the expansion of Medallin Sports M.I.C.E. offerings, ensuring the business stays ahead of industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration between sales, marketing, operations, and client services to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.

Revenue Growth & Market Expansion:

  • Develop and implement strategies to secure high-value corporate accounts, focusing on long-term relationships with multinational corporations, global event planners, and key industry players.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market segments to grow Medallin Sports M.I.C.E. client base, both locally and globally.
  • Ensure consistent achievement of sales targets, while optimizing profitability and revenue streams.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing sales team, setting clear expectations and accountability for performance.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the sales team.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, development, and mentorship to senior sales managers and executives.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with senior executives, decision-makers, and influencers in corporate organizations, ensuring Medallin Sports is the preferred partner for M.I.C.E. programs.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to clients, recommending customized solutions that align with their business goals and objectives.
  • Ensure that all clients receive exceptional service, timely communication, and high-quality event experiences.

Partnership & Alliance Development:

  • Build and sustain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including sports organizations, venues, hotels, and third-party vendors.
  • Collaborate with industry leaders to offer unique, value-added services to clients and stay at the forefront of M.I.C.E. innovations.

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Oversee the budget, forecasting, and performance analysis for the M.I.C.E. corporate sales function.
  • Ensure financial objectives are met and adhered to, providing regular updates to senior leadership on sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline.
  • Optimize sales processes, ensuring efficiency and high ROI across all corporate sales activities.

Brand Advocacy & Thought Leadership:

  • Represent Medallin Sports at major industry events, conferences, and client meetings to establish the company as a leader in the sports tourism and M.I.C.E. market.
  • Drive brand awareness and thought leadership through strategic public relations and media engagement.
Key Qualifications
  • Experience:
  • 12+ years of experience in corporate sales, M.I.C.E., or sports tourism, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role managing a global sales team.
  • Proven track record of securing large-scale corporate accounts and achieving significant revenue growth.
  • Strong experience in developing and executing complex sales strategies, managing multi-million-dollar budgets, and driving organizational change.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field (required). MBA or similar advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and key decision-makers.
  • Comprehensive understanding of M.I.C.E. and corporate event dynamics, particularly as they relate to sports tourism and hospitality.
  • Expertise in sales analytics, CRM systems, and financial forecasting.
