As a Business Development Manager, You'll Need To
Research and identify new business opportunities, - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services, - or new ways of reaching existing markets.
The role requires an end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting, lead generation, presentations, demos, and closing the deal.
BDM should hire FSE and train them.
Negotiate pricing with customers, and suppliers in some cases.
Seek out the appropriate contact in an organization.
Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
Meet with customers/clients face-to-face or over the phone.
Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients
Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan
Think strategicallyseeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order of how to meet these needs. to develop and improve the business.

The BDM must have a good understanding of the businesses products or services and be able to advise others about them.
Ensure field executives are on board throughout the organization and understand the need for change and what is required of them.
Train members of your team, arranging external training where appropriate.
Discuss promotional strategies and activities with the marketing department.
Seek ways of improving the way the business operates. Commission, target, and other terms
As a business development manager, your beginning pay will be Rs. 15,000 (all allowances included). To receive the above compensation, you must complete 300 shops per month as a team , BDM's individual target is 100 shops per month and for FSE 200 shops per month
The Business Development Manager will receive a flat commission of Rs. 25 for onboarding a retailer through a field executive. If Business Development Manager directly onboards a shop then he/she will receive 100 rs per shop, if more than 100 shops are on boarded 110rs would be received as a commission per shop.
