Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to join our team. The position is based in Gurgaon and offers a hybrid, full-time employment opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years and a maximum of 10 years of relevant work experience.

• Extensive experience with database management and administration, with 7-10 years of relevant work background.
• Strong expertise in VMWare (Mandatory skill).
• Proficient in Unix (Mandatory skill).
• Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems (Mandatory skill).
• Experience in managing Cassandra databases for high-availability and performance.
• Proficiency with Couchbase for document-oriented database solutions.
• Strong skills in shell scripting for effective automation of database tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills in database environments.

• Manage, maintain, and monitor database systems to ensure high availability and optimization.
• Perform database upgrades, backups, and restores as well as implement and manage encryption methods.
• Develop and execute efficient database queries and procedures for data extraction and manipulation.
• Ensure data security and integrity, implementing robust access controls and monitoring mechanisms.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas and indexes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, working closely with IT support teams to minimize downtime.
• Automate routine database maintenance tasks using shell scripting and other tools.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve database performance.
