Sr. Chassis System Design Engineer (Lateral Protection device, Fuel Tank Mounting)

Job Description

Education: ME / BE / B.Tech.: Mechanical / Automobile

Experience: 4 to 6 Yrs

Responsibilities:

• Design of Chassis aggregates and chassis attachment, etc.
• Design / solution identification as per requirement and align within cross functional department, also interaction with development partners

Must Have:

• Sound knowledge in Chassis Attachment Systems (Lateral Protection device, Fuel Tank Mounting, Battery mounting, spare wheel mounting, Rear Mud guard Mounting) for commercial vehicle.
• Good hand on experience in CATIA for 3D model preparation with CATIA module like part design SMD, GSD, assembly and drawings.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, Casting, Machining etc.)
• Good interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, presentation skills and team player
• Good in Analytical and technical Communication.
• Knowledge of homologations standards related to Chassis Attachment.
• Knowledge of product development cycle.
• Can be able to do design documentation in PLM as well as to generate bill of material.
• Understand Technical Input Requirement Check, align with Project team / team lead.
• Support in Preparation for technical review for own project work / task for regular reviews.
• Organize and prioritize own workload.
• Proposing efforts and Timeline for Projects work / task
• Reporting Risk in Project Work / topic for own work
• Team Member to own project work /task adhering to Quality and timeline.
• Technical Output preparation and representing in Project by adhering product development process.
• Adhere organizational quality processes by adapting agile process.
• Establish own competency / known how based on defined areas competency mapping.
• Propose areas of Efficiency improvements
• Collaborate with project stakeholders for understanding technical requirements within project work/ task.
• Contribute to project with self-initiation / Accountability to achieve organizational vision, mission, and objectives.
• Flexibility for international travel

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of working experience in PLM: windchill or OAS
• VBA / CATIA macro / Programming
• Basic knowledge of Chassis Attachment parameters, design validation plan preparation of Chassis Attachment.
• Basic knowledge of design quality process
• Good knowledge of GD&T. should be able to do tolerance stack up.
