About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area.
  • Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls.
  • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area.
  • Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk.
  • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

  • The candidate is expected to independently identify, build and deliver solutions while collaboratively working with various Wells Fargo team members.
  • This position will be in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment where the candidate will be handling multiple concurrent projects while working independently and in teams.
  • Leverage Atlassian tools for developing Jira based customized workflows, projects, boards, screen schemas, tasks/issues, permissions, and users in Jira and Confluence.
  • Provide user management, formal and informal training, and support for Jira, as needed.
  • Develop process automation to support risk reporting, analytics, and modeling, sourcing data from diverse platforms and technologies, such as SQL Server, APIs, internal web sites, SharePoint, Excel, Tableau, Power BI etc.
  • Builds client trust and respect, establishes client relationships, and develops a rapport with clients. Researches and keeps current on Jira technologies and communicates trends and future needs from a business perspective.
  • 4+ years of experience in building workflow solutions using Atlassian Jira, Jira Service Desk and Confluence.
  • Strong working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational database technologies.
  • Experience with developing Python scripts invoking Jira APIs, connecting to SQL Server.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux environment.
  • Familiarity with using visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) for analytics reporting.
  • 3+ years of experience with Atlassian tools, including usage of Jira API, JQL.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Transact-SQL statements, functions, data types, and other language elements.
  • Experience in Anaconda Python Environment.
  • Experience on Unix platforms and basic understanding of Unix commands and utilities.
  • Experience with GitHub or similar version control tool
