The Opportunity

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (Automation Engineer) with extensive experience in automation development, strategy, and testing skills to be part of our dynamic and growing IAM Team.

About The Team

You will be part of the IAM team, which is an integral part of most of the Nutanix products and solutions.

IAM provides on premises, cloud and hybrid solutions.

• Joined Nutanix in July 2019 with excitement to work in the IAM team. He has previously worked at Oracle, Cognizant and Versa Networks where he has worked on both Cloud and on-prem platforms to build multiple successful products.
• He strongly believes a good QA team is the key to a successful product and QA should always be proactive.

• Being part of IAM team which is considered as the gateway to any Nutanix product, we are the proud flagbearer for overall Nutanix product quality and standards.
• The team is highly motivated to deliver each functionality at an unmatched level of quality.
• The team believes in designing robust and highly efficient tests, framework and pipelines.

• The team works on a hybrid model visiting two days a week.

• Empowered to test the quality of the deliverable and be responsible for the delivery of quality products/features.
• You will automate test cases for new features.
• Enable automated regression runs for product releases.
• Working as part of the Engineering team to ensure that the code developed is testable - are the logs sufficient, should any test hooks be built into the code, is there enough debug information available in case of failure, etc.
• Analyzing failures and resolving root cause, filing defects in the Defect Tracking System and driving them to closure.

• Good detailed and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong programming experience for Test Automation with Python, Java or equivalent language.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools like Selenium, Postman and Jmeter.
• Experience with test case automation, regression execution, performance testing and integration testing.
• Experience developing clean, maintainable automated tests for REST API and server components.
• Experience with writing and debugging automation tests for complex enterprise software.
• Experience of testing any cloud-based applications.
• Experience in distributed systems / HCI / Kubernetes / microservices.
• Working knowledge in Continuous integration and deployment and Identity Access Management is a plus.
• 2 - 5 years of experience in test automation.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related stream
