Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager - Sales to lead our sales team. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader, a strategic thinker, and a results-driven professional with a proven track record in sales management. As GM - Sales, you will be accountable for driving sales growth, developing strategic sales plans, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets within the budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Identify new market opportunities and drive business growth in the solar energy sector.
  • Set sales targets and monitor performance to ensure the achievement of targets.
  • Sales Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to the sales team.
  • Foster a high-performance culture and ensure team alignment with company goals.
  • Business Development:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in residential, commercial, and industrial markets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the company's customer base.
  • Customer Focus:
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction by understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Financial Accountability:
  • Manage the sales budget effectively and ensure cost-efficient operations.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales revenue and profitability.
  • Market Analysis:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on market analysis and research.
  • Adapt sales strategies to meet changing market conditions and customer needs.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and customer support, to ensure seamless coordination of sales activities.
  • Work closely with the senior management team to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the solar energy industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
  • Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
