Job Description
The System Benefit EDI Specialist analyzes, designs, and develops specifications for enhancements and extensions with EDI application interfaces and maps. Ensures proper configuration and set-up of EDI tools and systems that support file transfer between internal and external trading partners.Coordinates trading partner implementations and development, conducting EDI testing identifying configuration discrepancies. Documents processes, data flow, file specifications, and mapping using standard formats. Responsible for maintaining the EDI feeds for Vensure's HR software systems for Payroll and HR Outsourcing.
This position will spend time as part of an entrepreneurial team looking to maintain consistency across different platforms.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Audit benefit plan setups in multiple systems to ensure proper setups for EDI reporting.
- Review enrollment audit reports from multiple systems to ensure enrollments are being reported on carrier specific EDIs.
- Review, analyze and resolve EDI discrepancies reported from carriers and internal partners.
- Work with Engineering/Development team to resolve EDI configuration issues and file transmission issues in a timely manner.
- Meet with carriers and collect information required to setup, test and move an EDI into production.
- Identify pending EDI setups at risk of not meeting production deadlines and communicate to requirement departments.
- Document procedures to setup and maintain EDI's from start to finish.
- Assist in developing tools to improve the EDI setup process.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Preferred knowledge of benefit plans in the USA.
- Preferred knowledge of EDI files and transmission
- Basic understanding of the logic behind platforms.
- Interpersonal effectiveness at all levels in the organization and across cultures.
- Strong organization skills, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, JavaScript).
- Embraces changes and contributes to new initiatives.
- Ability to build and manage relationships in a cross-functional environment.
- Works independently and is self-motivated.
- High attention to detail
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in the English language, including the ability to listen, understand, read, and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally in a professional environment.
- English level B1 at least
- Intermediate to strong skills in excel.
- Proficient with MS Office suite
- Preferred experience with EDI files.
