b Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) for U.S. Operations plays a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our market presence across the United States, with a focus on Data Engineering (Data Infrastructure, Data Analytics) and AI/ML services.
This position involves crafting strategic business plans, identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, managing the entire business development process, and acquiring clients while maintaining strong relationships within these sectors.

This role is essential to enhancing our U.S. market footprint and fueling the growth of our Professional and Consulting services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential business opportunities, emerging trends, and strategic partners in the U.S. market within the areas of Data Engineering and AI/ML.
  2. Analyze market conditions, competitive landscape, and customer needs to craft targeted business development strategies.
  3. Identify and establish strategic partnerships and alliances that can enhance our service offerings and market reach in the U.S.
  4. Negotiate partnership agreements and maintain relationships with key partners to ensure mutual benefit.
  5. Develop and implement a comprehensive business development plan to expand our footprint in the U.S. market.
  6. Work closely with senior management to align business development activities with the companys long-term goals.
  7. Explore and recommend strategies for market entry, including partnerships, collaborations, and direct outreach.
  8. Lead efforts to introduce our services to new market segments within the U.S.
  9. Develop and execute strategies for lead generation, prospecting, and closing new business deals with U.S.-based clients.
  10. Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and delivery teams to ensure a unified approach to market penetration and client engagement.
  11. Provide insights and feedback to the product and service teams based on market trends and client interactions.
  12. Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute campaigns that drive business development.
  13. Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, decision-makers, and influencers within target organizations.
  14. Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to potential clients.
  15. Setup KPIs and metrics to track and report on the progress of business development and partnership activities.
  16. Provide regular updates to senior management on market opportunities, business development activities, progress, and challenges.
  17. Be flexible and adaptable, capable of driving business development activities as the company ventures into new verticals or markets.
  18. Open to travel. Up to 35% travel will be required.
  19. Open to Work in US timings, preferably in Pacific timings
  20. Compliance with company policies, procedures and ethical standards.
Job Qualifications & Skills
  1. Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, sales, or a similar role, with a focus on Data Engineering (Data Infrastructure, Data Analytics) and AI/ML services.
  3. Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities in the U.S. market.
  4. Proven track record of success in generating leads, acquiring clients, and closing deals in the U.S. market.
  5. Experience working in or with technology consulting or professional services firms is required.
  6. Strong understanding of Data Engineering, Data Infrastructure, Data Analytics, and AI/ML technologies, trends, and market dynamics.
  7. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  8. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a global team environment.
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  10. Proficiency in CRM software and other business development tools.
  11. Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a proactive approach to business development.
  12. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with remote teams.
  13. Ability to navigate complex business environments and manage multiple priorities.
  14. Strong networking skills and the ability to build relationships across various cultural and business environments.
